Today, low-cost underwater ROVs (remote-operated vehicles) can only move in one direction at a time: forward, back, left, right, up, or down. A company called OpenROV hopes to build a new underwater robot kit called the Trident. The Trident will be the first low-cost ROV kit that will be able glide or fly through water in any direction like a fish. OpenROV hopes that Trident will allow scientists, fisherman, & anyone else to explore the ocean in ways that they never have before!
